we spent the weekend in silverton and the mountains around it. we meet up with friends from pagosa springs and utah to camp and explore. the fireworks show was one of the best that I have been to. the town sits in a bowl with mountains all around so the booms echoed quite loudly.
there was a lot of snow this winter so flowers that we normally see this time of year had not quite bloomed. some of the roads had not been cleared yet either.
here is a columbine the colorado state flower. i wish they would grow in fruita but we don't have the altitude.
daisy saw a few marmots and wanted to chase them...she never really got the chance.
we spent the majority of our time exploring old mining camps. it rained a little and was really a great weekend.

Dang! The scenery and mountains are just amazing.
Colorado is beautiful. The flowers are so pretty.
Hey is that last shot of the new house with all the property? I knew that eventually you would become hermits.
funny melissa...its actually what your new house looks like right now! i hear its renting for a good rate.
Beautiful pictures. I had to laugh at your and Melissa's comments. You two are so funny.
ha ha ha my new house has a pool. the house does look like that right now, and no I'm not laughing, even inside.
I love that picture. It is better than homes that a lot of people live in here in Chile.
